MotoGP: Rossi shows off 2018 helmet

Valentino Rossi has unveiled his 2018 AGV helmet design on the same day as the nine-time champion extended his deal to remain in MotoGP by another two years, with his lid this year sporting a retro design that he says is designed to hark back to the look of classic Formula One designs.

“It’s changed a lot because I wanted to try something classic. I looked at the iconic Formula One helmets of the seventies and eighties and tried to have less on there rather than more – and I like the result!”
