1 of 1

Reale Avintia rider Andreas Perez has tragically died after a crash in yesterday’s Moto3 junior world championship race at the Circuit Catalunya in Barcelona. The 14-year-old fell during the second race of the day and was helicoptered to hospital with serious injuries, but was declared brain dead this morning.

Andreas was a front-runner in last year’s inaugural European Talent Cup, winning races and finishing fourth in the championship before making the step up to the junior world championship this year with the Reale Avintia team.

MCN joins the wider racing fraternity in offering our deepest condolences to Andreas’ family, friends, team and fans at this dark time.
