MotoGP: Movistar Yamaha duo reveal 2018 machine

1 of 4

The Movistar Yamaha duo of Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi have pulled the covers off their 2018 MotoGP machines in Madrid, revealing a modified variant of last year’s design only days before the season gets underway at Sunday’s test in Sepang.

Reflecting the new Movistar corporate colours as well as the traditional deep blue of the Japanese manufacturer, the new bike is a slight modification on last year’s design.

The main story from the event, however, was the news that Maverick Viñales has already signed an extension to his contract with the team, announcing a new deal that will keep him as a Yamaha rider until at least 2020.
