1 of 1

Cal Crutchlow got the better of Pramac Ducati’s Danilo Petrucci to lead the way in front of a home crowd in the third and final timed practice session at Silverstone.

After overnight rainfall, there were still some damp patches on the track but it affected times little with Crutchlow just half a second slower than Dovizioso’s quickest time from Friday.

Petrucci was just 0.027 seconds off the Brit with his Pramac team-mate third quickest ahead of Monster Tech 3 Yamaha’s Johann Zarco.

Maverick Vinales continued to enjoy a much stronger weekend in fifth for Movistar Yamaha ahead of team-mate Valentino Rossi.

Franko Morbidelli enjoyed a strong session for Marc VDS Honda, moving seventh quickest in FP3 and 11th on the overall times after a session behind mentor Rossi.

Friday’s quickest man Andrea Dovizioso was eighth ahead of world champion Marquez while Britain’s Bradley Smith rounded out the top ten.

Dovizioso led the way on the overall combined timesheets, ahead of Crutchlow and Vinales. Danilo Petrucci and Valentino Rossi were the only two riders in the top ten to improve their time this morning to sit seventh and ninth respectively.
