Bike Fest Live rolls into Silverstone for the British GP

For one long weekend every year Silverstone becomes the most magical place in England as the MotoGP circus sets up camp for the Octo British Grand Prix. And this year you can really immerse yourself in the festival feel with Bike Fest Live. 

The August Bank Holiday weekend will resonate to the sound of bikes and race-goers revelling in the off-track entertainment. The four-day weekend kicks off with the Day of Champions on Thursday, August 24, followed by free concerts inside the circuit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus loads of great things to do for families and fun-lovers alike! The funfair and entertainment zone are back, plus even more food and drink outlets.

Friday night’s line-up on the main stage sees Jack Savoretti and 80s legends ABC take to the stage, with Saturday being turned over to the excellent Liv.Live competition, where six up and coming bands battle it out for the public vote so they can return to do a full set on the Sunday.

The Silverstone Woodlands campsite is far more than a place to pitch a tent, too. For the fixed price of £69 per person, you can camp from Wednesday lunchtime right the way through to Bank Holiday Monday, making the MotoGP a five-night festival that gives a green light to a post-race Sunday night party.

With its own pub, craft beer village, multitude of eating outlets including two sit down restaurants, five different live stages hosting live bands, DJs, comedy and talks, there’s something for everyone, every night. There is even kids’ entertainment in the dedicated Family campsite. If that’s not enough, then maybe the funfair, free shuttles to the circuit, two campsite shops, big screen showing live sport and entertainment, plus a permanent toilet block with hot showers (and a dedicated cleaning team), will help you to realise this is no ordinary experience!

There’s secure bike parking too with strict ID release procedures in place.
