Title maths for Danny Kent

Danny Kent will claim the Moto3 world title today if the Englishman finishes fifth at Sepang. With a 40 point lead a top five finish guarantees him the crown regardless of what happens to his only title rival, Miguel Oliveira. If the Portuguese rider doesn’t win the race Kent needs a top 11 finish. A points finish is sufficient for Kent should Oliveira not finish first or second. A non-podium finish for the Ajo rider will also see Kent crowned world champion.
