Rain postpones final day of testing

Rain ended play early in the desert with the final day of pre-season testing washed out after heavy rain in Losail. The night session means that riding is impossible in the wet due to the floodlights reflecting on the wet surface. A similar situation occured in 2009 and the race was delayed until the Monday.

With the riders having planned on spending the day running race simulations there was plenty of disappointment amongst the paddock that they will start the new season on March 29 without having been able to get a definitive indicator on what to expect at the first race. Some questions have however been answered though with the pace of the Ducati verified, Suzuki having been able to show again that they will have strong pace and that Yamaha and Honda will once again start the year as title favourites.

The paddock will now pack up and travel back to Europe before returning to Qatar for first practice in ten days times.
