Zarco fastest in Moto2

Sam Lowes bounced back from a mid-session crash to end the opening Moto2 session second fastest but it was Johann Zarco  who led the way with the Frenchman one quarter of a second faster than Lowes, Jonas Folger and Tito Rabat.

Alex Pons was fifth fastest in a very impressive session with Thomas Luthi seventh fastest. The top 13 were seperated by one second but behind them the next fourteen rider were all within two seconds of the fastest time.

The Dunlop tyre allocation for this weekend is the hardest of the season so far and it may have played a role in seeing so many crashes throughout the session.
