Oliviera wins a thriller!

Miguel Oliviera claimed a thrilling Moto3 victory at Assen with the Portuguese rider taking the second victory of his career from Fabio Quartararo and Danny Kent. The race distilled into a battle at the front with seven riders all battling tooth and nail with the last five laps proving to be a true roller coaster.

Oliviera was quick in the second half of the lap and Quartararo in the opening sectors and this contrast meant that when it came down to the final chicane Oliviera had better drive and was able to claim the lead and take the win. Kent sychted his way through the pack on the final lap from sixth to third to extend his title lead to 57 points.
