Lowes looks ready to kick some Assen!

Sam Lowes left it until the last minute but his confidence ahead of this weekend’s Dutch TT looks to be justified after the Speed Up rider set the fastest time of the morning at Assen. Lowes spent most of the session in the lower reaches of the top ten but on his final lap vaulted to the top of the timing screens.

Dominique Aegerter was second fastest with Thomas Luthi and Tito Rabat the only riders within half a second of Lowes. Julian Simon had a positive session and was fifth  fastest on the second Speed Up. Championship leader Johann Zarco was sixth fastest.
