Lorenzo leads way in warmup

Jorge Lorenzo has been anointed the pre-race favourite by his rivals and his pace in the morning warmup was another indication of what to expect from him in this afternoon’s 25 lap race with the Spaniard over quarter of a second faster than Marc Marquez with Maverick Vinales sandwiched between the duo.

Vinales had a crash in the session but his speed all weekend has been another indication of his potential as a rookie in the class. Pole sitter Aleix Espargaro was fourth fastest ahead of the Italian trio of Iannone, Rossi and Dovizioso.
