Petrucci and Dovi progress to QP2

Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Dovizioso made it through from QP1 into the final top twelve shootout for pole position. The Ducati riders took advantage of their softer open class tyre to make it through to QP2.

Scott Redding was once again limited by not being able to use the softer tyre and the Marc VDS rider missed out on the top two by less than one tenth of a second.

It was an encouraging session for Eugene Laverty with the Irishman outqualifying his teammate, Nicky Hayden.
