Imperious Zarco wins at Brno

Johann Zarco made a break in the early laps of the Moto2 race at Brno to claim a fourth win of the year and a tenth consecutive podium. Tito Rabat was second but just couldn’t quite get on terms with Zarco over the course of the 20 lap race.

Former Moto3 teammates Alex Rins and Alex Marquez fought it out for the final podium spot with RIns coming out on top in a close battle. It was the best performance of the year from Marquez.

In fifth Sam Lowes had a spirited ride but having started from the fifth row of the grid after a bike failure in qualifying he left himself too much work to do to be involved in the fight for the podium. Even so this was a hugely impressive race from the Englishman.
