Malaysia Moto2: Rabat continues perfect weekend with pole

1 of 2

Tito Rabat has extended his perfect weekend into qualifying, beating teammate Mika Kallio to pole by 0.15 as he looks set to lift the Moto2 crown tomorrow. Rabat’s series of fast laps left him looking strong for tomorrow’s race, although his pole time came on only his third circuit.

Kallio and Rabat share the front row of the grid with Sandro Cortese, while Maverick Vinales, Thomas Luthi and Takaai Nakagami make up row two.

Sam Lowes, still learning the Sepang track on his first visit, is back in fifteenth, while Gino Rea will start from 21st.
