Le Mans Moto2: Kallio takes second successive win

Marc VDS rider Mika Kallio made it two on the bounce with victory at Le Mans today to keep up the pressure on team-mate and championship leader Esteve Rabat.

Kallio rode a calculated race, allowing Simone Corsi to lead from the front before making his move with eight laps to go. Corsi finished second, holding off a late challenge from Rabat.

Moto2 rookie Maverick Vinales finished fourth after a late charge which saw him get the better of team-mate Luis Salom, who spent most of the race in third place.

Jonas Folger was unable to take advantage of his pole position. The German got a poor start and finished sixth, 3.9 seconds behind Kallio.

Brit Sam Lowes finished ninth on the Speed Up bike, with Gino Rea crossing the line in 19th.
