Le Mans Moto2: Folger breaks record to take pole

Jonas Folger broke the pole position lap record set by Marc Marquez in 2012 with a lap of 1.37.619 at Le Mans to secure the first place spot for tomorrow’s Moto2 race.

Folger just edged out Esteve Rabat to pole position, thr Marc VDS rider crashed unhurt mid way through the session. Spaniard Luis Salom completes the front row in third.

Marc VDS rider Mika Kallio heads the second row in fourth place, ahead of Thomas Luthi and reigning Moto3 champion Maverick Vinales.

Brit Sam Lowes qualified at the front of the fourth row in 10th ahead of Xavier Simeon and Julian Simon.
