Pedrosa fastest on day two at Sepang

Dani Pedrosa has finished the second day at the Sepang in his customary position at the Malaysian track, topping the time sheets by 0.2 seconds at the circuit where he is traditionally dominant.
 
Second and third were Aleix Espargaro and Alvaro Bautista, continuing their performance of day one of the test, while Valentino Rossi was the first factory Yamaha in fourth.
 
However, teammate Jorge Lorenzo, still struggling with the new Bridgestone tyres that he says don’t work with his M1, was back in ninth, and was so disgruntled that he refused to debrief the media after the session.
 
It was a good day for Ducati, as Andrea Dovizioso finished fifth and Cal Crutchlow seventh, with speculation mounting that the Italianteam are testing new machines ahead of a potential switch to the open classthat could come as soon as this week.
 
Track conditions have improved today, after riders complained about a lack of grip yesterday. The test concludes tomorrow after a third and final day.
