Brno Moto2: Rabat dominates

Esteve Rabat stretched his championship lead to 12 points ahead of team-mate Mika Kallio with a faultless performance at Brno.

The Spaniard got a great start from pole position to lead into the first corner and from there he was untouchable.

Brit Sam Lowes made an excellent start off the second row and followed Rabat to slot into second place in the early stages of the race, before crashing and being forced to retire.

Kallio finished second 3.274secs behind his team-mate, with German Sandro Cortese in third a further three seconds back.

Thomas Luthi was unable to capitalise fully on his front row start, the Swiss rider finished in fourth place, followed closely by compatriot Dominique Aegerter.
