Repsol Honda rookie Marc Marquez will start tomorrow’s Aragon race from pole position after narrowly beating reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo by just 0.010s.

Marquez broke Casey Stoner’s lap record, which stood since 2011, on his way to pole position. Dani Pedrosa completes an all Spanish front row in third.

Factory Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi will head the second row ahead of Stefan Bradl and Alvaro Bautista.

Tech 3 Yamaha team-mates Cal Crutchlow and Bradley Smith will start from the third row, along with Andrea Dovizioso.
