Assen MotoGP: Salom takes Moto3 win
Red Bull KTM rider Luis Salom took victory in a dry Moto3 race at Assen today with a brave last lap pass on title rival Maverick Vinales.
Vinales led going into the final few corners, but a brave move from Salom pushed his fellow Spaniard down to second.
Alex Rins, who led for the majority of the race finished third ahead of pole sitter Miguel Oliveira on the Mahindra machine.
Alex Marquez is still waiting for his first podium finish after finishing fifth despite leading the opening laps.
Brit John McPhee was on course for a strong points finish, but dropped down to 21st on the final lap. Danny Webb crashed out after 13 laps.
