Silverstone Moto2: Redding back to the task at hand

1 of 1
Scott Redding, fresh from signing his 2014 move to MotoGP, immediately got back to concentrating on the task at hand at Silverstone, setting the fastest time of the opening Moto2 free practice session.
Dominic Aegertar led for most of the 40-minute session, but a late lap from Redding gave him the lead from championship rival Pol Espargaro’s Tuenti HP 40 Kalex and Aegertar’s Car eXpert Suter.
It was a good first session for the other Brit in the class as well, with Danny Kent finding late season form at his home round to finish the session in sixth.
However, Gino Rea had less luck, with the wildcard racer on his own FTR Moto2 machine back in 19th place.
Mike di Meglio, forced out of this weekend’s GP after a Brno crash, has been replaced on his JIR machine by British Supersport front runner Jason O’Halloran, who finished the session in 26th.
