Valencia MotoGP: Danny Kent victorious in final Moto3 race

1 of 1

Brit Danny Kent rode an excellent race in wet conditions to take his second Moto3 victory at Valencia in his final race in the class.

Starting from seventh position on the grid Kent was always in touch with the leaders, but never looked able to challenge for the lead until the final quarter of the race.

Kent moved upto second behind team-mate and champion Sadro Cortese and left it till the final corner on the final lap to move in to the lead, holding out to cross the line first.

The win means Kent finishes fourth in the championship.

The podium was made up entirely of KTMs, with Air Asia KTM rider Zulfahmi Khairuddin finishing third.

Alex Marquez looked set to take his first Grand Prix victory when he took the lead from Luis Salom after only a few laps, but the young Spaniard crashed out moments later.

After leading in the early stages of the race, Salom slowed and fell out of touch with the leaders, eventually finishing 10th, two places behind Maverick Vinales.
