Le Mans MotoGP: Stefan Bradl takes fourth consecutive Moto2 pole

Stefan Bradl (Viessmann Kiefer Racing) took his fourth consecutive Moto2 pole this season in qualifying at Le Mans. Swiss rider Thomas Lüthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2) took second place in the final minutes of qualifying and Yuki Takahasi (Gresini Racing) completes the front row, securing third in his last lap of the session.

Spaniard Aleix Espargaro (SPA Pons HP 40) qualified in fourth, with British rider Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing Team) taking fifth place ahead of Marc Marquez (Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol) who completes the second row in sixth.

Tech 3 Racing rider Bradley Smith was embroiled in an unfortunate crash when Axel Pons (Pons HP 40), who qualified in fourteenth place, fell in front of the rider from Oxfordshire knocking him off. Smith will start from seventeeth place. Fellow Brit Kev Coghlan (Aeroport de Castello) ended the session in thirty-fifth.
