Estoril MotoGP: Stefan Bradl takes Moto2 win

German rider Stefan Bradl has won the Portugese Moto2 race at Estoril after two riders who led the race crashed.

Thomas Luthi passed Bradl on the fourth lap to take the lead, but crashed out at the final turn. It was then Iannone’s turn to take the lead. After starting from 14th on the grid, Iannone took the lead with only five laps to go. But his race was soon over as he crashed just a lap later, handing victory to Bradl.

Julian Simon finished second, just 0.1 second behind Bradl, with Moriwaki rider Yuki Takahashi completing the podium in third place.

Brit Scott Redding was in seventh place on lap eight when 125GP champion Marc Marquez lost control of his bike and collided with Redding, sending both riders to the ground.

Both riders remounted, with Marquez finishing 21st and Redding finishing in 25th. Fellow Brit Bradley Smith finished 29th after a tyre change.
