British MotoGP: Marquez gets Moto2 pole, Redding second

125GP champion Marc Marquez has taken pole position for the 18 lap Moto2 race at Silverstone tomorrow.

Marquez dominated the session, looking much more like the racer he was last year in the 125GP championship. Brit Scott Redding managed to keep British hopes alive, setting the second fastest time, 0.497secs behind Marquez.

German Stefan Bradl starts from third on the grid tomorrow. It will be the first race in 2011 where the Viessmann Kiefer Racing rider has not started from pole.

The second row consists of Jules Cluzel (NGM Forward Racing), Simone Corsi (Ioda Racing Project) and Michele Pirro (Gresini Racing).

Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith was blighted by tehcnical problems with his bike yet again and only managed to complete seven laps, posting the 28th fatest time.
