Brno MotoGP: Terol secures fifth pole of season

Nicolas Terol (Bankia Aspar) secured his fifth 125GP pole position start of the season at Brno, with Johann Zarco (Avant-AirAsia-Ajo) qualifying in second and Sandro Cortese (Intact-Racing Team Germany) completing the front row of the grid in third.

Zarco led much of the qualifying session, whilst Terol left it until the final lap to set the fastest time at the Czech circuit and secure pole position.

Hector Faubel (Bankia Aspar Team) qualified fourth fastest, leading a Spanish second row, with Luis Salom (RW Racing GP) and Efren Vazquez (Avant-AirAsia-Ajo) qualifying in fifth and sixth.

Danny Kent (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport) put in his best qualifying performance of the season so far, starting tomorrow’s race in seventh place. Alberto Moncayo and Maverick Viñales complete the third row in eighth and ninth, with Viñales unable to improve his time after crashing out in the final minutes of qualifying.
