Jerez MotoGP: Stefan Bradl on Moto2 pole

Moto2 championship leader Stefan Bradl has taken his second career pole position at Jerez today ahead of championship rival Yuki Takahashi. Thomas Luthi is the final rider on the front row in third.

Reigning 125GP champion Marc Marquez starts from fourth on the grid after crashing at turn one late in the session. Bradley Smith was the highest placed Brit and will start from the middle of the second row in fifth position, with Alex de Angelis bringing up the rear of the second row in sixth.

Scott Redding could only manage to set the 13th fastest time after crashing out only ten minutes into the session. Fellow Brit Kev Coghlan will start tomorrow’s race from 24th on the grid onboard his FTR machine.
