Silverstone MotoGP impressions

I spent the whole weekend at the circuit for the Silverstone MotoGP.

The track is ace, but for most of the weekend the majority of the grandstands were either locked and closed or were empty!

I have been to a few circuits in Europe and the stands are always packed. When we went back to our hotel on the Friday evening we watched FP1 and the managing director of the course said that all the grandstands for both the Friday and Saturday were free to enter, this was not the case.

We also found a distinct lack of screens around the circuit compared to other curcuits.

When we tried to upgrade our tickets for race day on the saturday afternoon we were told that we couldn’t until the actual reace day and that the price for upgrade wasn’t known!

Come on Silverstone. This is not the way to run things.
