Valentino Rossi cools future talk

Valentino Rossi has decided to step away from commenting on the constant speculation surrounding his future plans in MotoGP.

The Italian is in the last year of a two-season deal with Yamaha’s factory MotoGP squad and throughout the winter there has been endless speculation and rumour about the 30-year-old’s future plans.

Rossi has already been linked with an extension to his current Yamaha deal having expressed a desire to remain in MotoGP for at least another two or three years during last week’s Sepang test in Malaysia.

The seven-times world champion has also been linked with a big money switch to Ducati and his recent performance in Ferrari’s 2008 F1 car in Barcelona further heightened rumour of a four-wheeled transfer.

But Rossi has decided to cool talk on his future and he said: “I have decided to not speak anymore about 2011 because everything I say is good in one way and bad in another. I simply don’t know what will happen.”
