Valentino Rossi unconcerned by Jorge Lorenzo future

Valentino Rossi says he’s not fussed whether Jorge Lorenzo remains on the other side of Fiat Yamaha’s dividing wall in 2010.

Lorenzo is currently negotiating a new deal with Yamaha to stay with Rossi, with several meetings staged between the Spaniard and senior Yamaha management in Jerez earlier this month.

Lorenzo has expressed his desire to stay on board a factory YZR-M1, though he has already been linked with a shock move to the Repsol Honda squad for next season.

Yamaha wants to sign the 22-year-old on a fresh two-year deal and race boss Lin Jarvis told MCN recently that he was unconcerned by the rumours linking Lorenzo with Honda’s factory team.

Equally as unconcerned is Rossi about who he will ride with in 2010.

The 30-year-old said Lorenzo’s future wasn’t an issue for him.

“There is no difference, it is his choice. For me I don’t care,” said Rossi.
