Hungary Drops out of MotoGP

As revealed by MCN in February, this year’s MotoGP calendar will be reduced to 17 rounds following the cancellation of the new Hungarian round scheduled for the Balatonring circuit on September 20.

The organisers blame delays in construction of the new track resulting from the harsh winter weather and the current world financial downturn.

They have requested that the race be postponed to the 2010 season.
