Assen MotoGP: Sergio Gadea takes 125GP win

Aspar Aprilia rider Sergio Gadea won the 125GP race after race leader Nicolas Terol ran off the the track at the end of the last lap.

Terol and Julian Simon were leading the race when they almost touched, forcing Terol off the track and allowing Gadea to take the lead, which he managed to hold to the line.

Aspar Aprilia rider Bradley Smith was the only Brit to finish, bringing his Aprilia machine home in fourth ahead of Andrea Iannone.

Fellow Brit Danny Webb crashed out early on in the race while Scott Redding retired with an electrical fault.

**UPDATE**

Following the incident between Nicolas Terol and Junlian Simon, race control has come to the decision to give Terol a 20 second penalty.

The penalty means Britain’s Bradley Smith has been elevated to thrid place.
