Early June slot for Silverstone MotoGP race

The first British MotoGP race to be staged at the Silverstone circuit since 1986 will be held on June 6 next year.

A provisional 2010 calendar was issued today, with Silverstone currently the sixth race in an 18-round series.

The 2010 championship again kicks off under floodlights in Qatar on April 11, with the campaign concluding at the Valencia circuit in Spain on November 7.

Hungary’s Balatonring, which was due to host a race in 2009, is back on the calendar with a September 12 slot.
