German MotoGP: Chris Vermeulen high-side pics

These pictures show just how lucky Aussie Chris Vermeulen was to walk away from a spectacular high-side at the end of today’s rain-hit opening practice session at the German MotoGP. The Aussie lost control at the downhill Turn Two to add to his recent crash-strewn spell. Vermeulen, who crashed twice in Laguna Seca earlier this month, firstly lost the front of his factory GSV-R when he rode too hard through a patch of water on what was a largely dry track after earlier torrential rain. Vermeulen walked away from the spill and will take part in the rest of the weekend despite nursing severe bruising to the left hip he damaged in Laguna Seca.
