Casey Stoner not fussed by British MotoGP switch

Former world champion Casey Stoner says he’s not fussed about the decision to switch the British MotoGP race to Silverstone from 2010 onwards.

This year’s race at Donington Park will be the last after Dorna signed a five-year deal with Silverstone yesterday (Monday).

Stoner has won the last two British MotoGP races at Donington, though in doing so he’s became the target of abuse from a minority of British fans.

The Australian though, speaking at the launch of Ducati’s 2009 MotoGP squad in the Italian ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio, said: “I’d heard a lot of rumours of the Donington and Silverstone thing but we still race at Donington this year and I haven’t got an issue with that.

“If we change, we change. It doesn’t matter. Whatever track we are on, everybody’s going to be on the same thing, so it’s not going to be a huge loss or a huge gain.”
