Toni Elias makes Suzuki approach

Toni Elias has approached Suzuki about a factory GSV-R ride in 2010.
The Spaniard met with factory team boss Paul Denning at the recent British MotoGP clash at Donington Park.
Elias, who has struggled to make a major impact on the factory spec Gresini Honda RC212V in 2009, looks certain to be out of a job with Marco Simoncelli already signed by the Italian squad for next season.
And with Marco Melandri a red-hot favourite to move back to Fausto Gresini’s outfit, Elias is in danger of being frozen out of MotoGP.
He’s also been linked with a shock return to the Pramac Ducati squad but Denning said the Donington meeting was nothing more than a brief discussion.
He told MCN: “Toni came to see us and to ask what we’re doing and to express his interest. I was very interested to hear what he had to say.”
