french MotoGP: Hector Barbera tops the timesheets in 250 free practice

Hector Barbera has got his season back on track by going fastest in this morning’s first 250 practice ahead of Sunday’s French GP.

The Aprilia rider, who was on pole position in Qatar, finished down in sixth last time out in China, but he did enough to claim the top spot on the timesheets this morning with a best lap of 1:39.284 on his Aprilia.

Mattia Pasini was second fastest recording a 1:39.376 on his 30th lap of the Le Mans circuit while pole man from Shanghai, Alvaro Bautista, was third with a 1:39.491.

China 250GP winner Mika Kallio finished up down in 13th on his Red Bull KTM with a best lap of 1’40.619.

Ireland’s Eugene Laverty finished the session in 21st place with a best lap of 1’42.543.
