Qatar MotoGP: Alvaro Bautista goes fastest in first 250 practice

Alvaro Bautista was the fastest rider in the opening practice session of the season for the 250s in Qatar.

 

The Spaniard completed a best lap on his final circuit with a 2:00.240 on his Aprilia just ahead of Hector Barbera who was less than 0.2secs behind.

 

Thomas Luthi was third fastest after this first session at the Losail Circuit with his best lap recorded at 2:00.678.

 

Ireland’s Eugene Laverty finished the session in 17th place. His best lap was 2:02.885 and was recorded on the 10th of his 16 laps.
