Donington Traffic Chaos

1 of 1

We had a great couple of days at Donington. Having only ever been to GPs at Jerez, I was dubious about a visit after the horror stories from previous years.

It was nowhere near the levels of organisation seen in Spain. I didn’t think it was all bad, great atmosphere, the weather held off and at least we could celebrate one Brit on the podium.

As for the traffic leaving the track, I can understand the frustration of the car drivers, but Donington cannot be held solely to blame.

The traffic was also held up due to a Hopper Bus having broken down on the exit road and emptying its load of diesel. Which a lot of us motorcyclists had to ride through, as Mr. Plod stood there waving the traffic past.

It’s a shame my mate couldn’t make it as someone stole his motorbike on Saturday night, from outside our hotel room.
