British MotoGP 2008

What a weekend! The smell of burnt racing oil, the immaculately prepared bikes and the noise the GP motorcycles make is unbelievable. That alone is worth the entry fee!

It was great to watch Scott Redding win his first 125GP race in front of a home crowd but rather gutting to watch JT bin it on the first lap. All in all an excellent weekends racing.

The only slight downside was the reaction Casey Stoner got from some of the Donington crowd, which I thought was nothing short of disgraceful!

I’m no Stoner fan by any means, but the boy had just won a GP by some margin and even lapped Melandri on the same machine. So to be greeted by a hail of boo’s and abusive language gave a less than agreeable ending to the weekend.

It’s a shame that the actions of a few could tarnish an entire nation.

Anyway, that’s my moan out of the way and I’ll get off my soap box.
