Sachsenring MotoGP: Marco Simoncelli to start at the front of the grid in the Sachsenring 250 GP

Italian Marco Simoncelli, racing for the Metis Gilera team, has dominated both of the 250cc qualifying sessions to earn himself pole position in tomorrow’s 250 GP at the Sachsenring in Germany.

Simoncelli managed a best time of 1’23.399, making him the fastest 250 rider to lap the Sachsenring and the only one to ever break the 1’24 mark.

Hector Barbera (second fastest in yesterday’s qualifying practise) took third place on the grid, with a fastest lap only two hundredths of a second slower than second place qualifier Julian Simon.
