Enel becomes latest Ducati sponsor

Ducati’s MotoGP team is set to confirm Italy-based energy firm Enel as a new sponsor tomorrow, when the team conducts its official 2008 launch.

The utility company’s logo is due to feature on Ducati’s race bikes and the leathers of riders Casey Stoner and Marco Melandri. The company is also due to become the official energy supplier to Ducati’s factory in Bologna.

Enel’s sponsorship deal with Ducati is its first with a motorsports team, having previously sponsored basketball, volleyball, and football teams.
