1 of 1

Casey Stoner has set the fastest time in the second free practice of the day at the MotoGP in Brno.

Stoner put in a quick lap early on in the session with little competition out on the circuit, but championship leader Valentino Rossi was not to be outdone and quickly posted the fastest lap with 50 minutes of the session remaining.

Alex De Angelis, John Hopkins and Randy De Puniet all crashed within the first ten minutes of the session and later on Randy De Puniet fell for a second time.

Michelin got off to a terrible start this morning, with Colin Edwards being the only Michelin rider in the top ten.

Michelin could not improve for the second free practice of the day, and again Colin Edwards was the only Michelin rider to finish in the top ten, he posted the seventh fastest time.

Britain’s James Toseland could finished the session with the 13th fastest time, having been within the top ten for part of the session. After posting his fastest lap Toseland ran in to the gravel trap and was unable to keep the bike upright

 The top ten were:

Casey Stoner
Valentino Rossi
Loris Capirossi
Shinya Nakano
Alex De Angelis
Chris Vermeulen
Colin Edwards
John Hopkins
Toni Elias
Sylvain Guintolli
