MotoGP Jerez Test: Valentino Rossi set for Bridgestone debut

This is the first picture of Valentino Rossi’s factory Yamaha YZR-M1 fitted with Bridgestone tyres.

Snapped this morning in the Jerez pits, Valentino Rossi’s bike was being prepared for his first ride on the Japanese rubber at the Spanish circuit today, following his controversial move from Michelin.

His factory YZR-M1 appears to be in exactly the same spec as it was when he finished last season with a retirement in the final round in Valencia.

There does appear to be additional electronic sensors to give Bridgestone engineers crucial early information on Valentino Rossi’s riding style.

Rossi is expected to take to the track shortly, with cool track temperatures only seeing a few riders leave pitlane at 11am local time.
