Gabor Talmacsi has become the first Hungarian motorcycle racer to win a world championship, despite his Bancaja Aspar team-mate Hector Faubel pressuring Talmacsi up until the final corner.
The pair battled throughout the race and Talmacsi, who only needed to finish third, maintained his composure as the third Bancaja Aspar rider, Sergio Gadea, made it a clean sweep of the podium for the team.
Britain’s Bradley Smith took a fantastic eighth place on the Repsol Honda 125. Fellow Brit Danny webb made up seven places from his grid position to take 21st for De Graaf Grand Prix Honda.
Gabor Talmacsi is the 2007 125cc GP world champion, finishing second at Valencia behind Hector Faubel
