No way to treat fans of MotoGP

Rossi fans, fiancee Shirley and myself, have just returned from the Le Mans Moto GP £800 worse off following paying for the best seats at the GP and accommodation etc.

The attraction of the seats in the ‘Privilege’ grandstand was that a pit walk was included on the Saturday.

Saturday came and as instructed all in the grandstand waited for 40 minutes and then marched over to the pits.

We were greeted with only one rider and several CLOSED garage doors, including Yamaha’s.

Many fans like ourselves, waited for the doors to be opened whilst being laughed at by Yamaha officials in their private room above their garage!!  WHAT A CON.

Security then ushered us all out to boos and mutterings of disgust.

On returning to England we spent a very pleasant hour on the ferry with a supersport rider from the Netherlands by the name of Nigel Walraven. He told us that WSB riders are fined if they do not appear on pit walks, does this apply to MotoGP?

I would complain to an official body if you could inform me of any that might be prepared to have a good chuckle at my story!

Following a complete failure of Yamaha on a wet race day by Edwards and Rossi, Shirley said “That was justice for the way they treated us on the pit walk”.

WSB and BSB riders are not too proud to meet their fans on pit walks.

Money is now going to be spent on going to BSB and WSB meetings !.
