Pasini sits on provisional pole for 125s

Italian Mattia Pasini has put himself on provisional pole position for Sunday’s 125 race in Shanghai.

The Polaris World man has failed to finish a race so far this year on his Aprilia but is hoping for a vast improvement this weekend in China after posting a time of 2:11.946.

Lukas Pesek jumped up two places to second after his second run out of the day to record a best tie of 2:12.384. The Czech rider was just under half a second ahead of Gabor Talmacsi, who beat his lead time by nearly two seconds this afternoon.

Britain’s Repsol Honda rider, Bradley Smith, moved up two places this afternoon as he was quicker by more than two seconds at 2:13.450.

The other British rider on track, Danny Webb finished the session in 24th place with a time of 2:15.908.
