Barbera quickest for 250s in Shanghai

Aprilia rider Hector Barbera recorded the fastest time of the first practice for the 250s in Shanghai.

The Spaniard, whose best result so far this season was a third place at the opening race in Qatar, completed his fastest lap in 2:06.586.

Jorge Lorenzo was the second fastest man on track this morning. The current championship leader completed the Shanghai circuit in 2:06.640 just over half a second quicker than Italian Andrea Dovizioso.

Irelands’ Eugene Laverty was down in 24th after the first session after recorded a lap of 2:13.620, more than six seconds off the leading pace.
