Gabor Talmacsi took the win in the 125cc race at Jerez, denying Lukas Pesek his first win.

Talamcsi and Aspar team-mate Hector Faubel dominated most of the race, until Pesek’s Derbi was able to close them down. Overtaking in the final few corners, It was a slipstream manouvre by Faubel that allowed Talmacsi to take the lead at the line by a narrow margin.

Britain’s Bradley Smith was on the receiving end of some bad luck and finished in 26th. Mattia Pasini was forced to give up his pole position and start from pit lane, working his way up through the field and colliding with Smith. Daniel Webb failed to finish.
