Dutch MotoGP:Pole man Mattia Pasini wins 125 MotoGP in Assen

Mattia Pasini took victory by more than six seconds in the 125 category at the Dutch MotoGP in Assen. 

The Italian led practically from the start after the initial scrum of bikes through the first couple of corners.

By lap five Mattia Pasini was totally in control and soon began extending his lead to 1.5secs ahead of Sergio Gadea.

Britain’s Danny Webb crashed out of the race on lap six after getting caught up in the back wheel of Steve Bonsi’s KTM. This was the end of Honda rider Danny Webb’s race, but the Kent rider was unhurt.

With Mattia Pasini extending his lead to 3.668secs by lap 11, it was up to the rest of the top riders to fight it out for the remaining two podium positions. Sergio Gadea and championship leader Hector Faubel (Aprilia) were among those fighting it out.

They were joined by Gabor Talmacsi, although he did go down as far as fifth as he struggled with his Aprilia in the middle of the race. But his determination saw him climb back up to claim third place behind Hector Faubel.

Just 0.03secs seperated Hector Faubel and Gabor Talmacsi as they fought through the last few corners but Mattia Pasini was victorious way ahead of the pair.
